Insight Session Description
Located in Downtown Tampa, the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) is one of the largest healthcare simulation centers in the country, dedicated to training current and future healthcare professionals from around the world. This session Dr. Haru Okuda, MD, executive director of CAMLS, will share with you how simulation education is training and preparing doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers of today and the future. Dr. Okuda will also address some of the major challenges and gaps in healthcare education and training, including opportunities for future development through technology, policy, and changes in practice. The session will conclude with a tour, where you will be able to experience first hand, the capabilities of the advanced training tools, including our human patient simulators.
